Billboard Posters
My Partner Chloe researched the Codes and Conventions of Billboard Posters for our project. She found the following Codes and Conventions following the analysis of several Posters:

Today I have researched the Codes and Conventions on Webpages in order to be able to create the product that I am making, a webpage.
These are the Codes + Conventions that I have found that must feature on each page:

- Logo.
- Brandname.
- Titlebar and Strapline.
- Column of Buttons linked to each webpage.
- Banners with Advertisements- Usually of relevence of my campaign.
- Homepage.
- About the Brand.
- Forum.
Today's Decision
Today we decided that it would be easier to split up into smaller groups/individuals as working in a group of 4 was making it too tricky to keep track of who was going to do what work. Although it primarily seemed a good idea as we could get the work done in 1/4 of the time it is now becoming apparent that doing work in such a large group means that we can't always control the amount of work being done at a set moment in time.
Despite this we have decided that we will become a pair with Chloe Bridger in order to complete this task as we can get in touch with eachother easily and can work together as well as independently in order to complete this task.
As well as this the Media Brief states that our campaign must cover two media platforms and if we work in pairs then we can each work on one platform and then consult back to the other on our progress and all about the Codes and Conventions whilst maintaining the ability to work independently on our individual products.
However we will still have to complete our own independent research and planning.
We have decided to stick to the Target Audience and Ideas already decided upon prior to this decision.
The products that we have decided to create are a Website and a Billboard Poster whilst also doing the appropriate research and planning for an iPhone App.

A Little Bit of Research and Planning
This Week I bought a new sketchbook so started doing some research and planning on paper and wrote out all pages previously done in rough. As well as this our group also began to plan out our pitch which we have to do at the end of October.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
For my project I am working in a group of four people, Katie Smith, Chloe Bridger and Annabel Grocock. Although we work together on each project on the production of this we have to create our own research and planning individually.
Primarily we brain-stormed any potential target audiences and analysed each target audience for potential lifestyle problems that could be improved using 'small steps' as specified by the brief. After a large amount of considering of the individual target audience's and product available we decided to target our project towards 'Young Professionals'.
Next we decided to focus on the media platforms that Young Professionals are most in contact with. This is what we decided upon:

Next we decided to focus on the media platforms that Young Professionals are most in contact with. This is what we decided upon:
- The majority of Young Professionals will live in London and travel via the tubes on their way to work. As they are in contact with tube stations on a regular basis we decided that a billboard poster along the inner station of the tubes would be appropriate so that as they wait for the tubes they are instantly in contact with this product.
- We will design a webpage targeted at Young Professionals that will include tips on achieving a healthy lifestyle, exercise ideas, good exercise and saving money. There will also be a variety of 'How to...' Guides. We feel that a webpage would be appropriate to our target audience as they are on computers both at work and at home so will be exposed to this platform on a regular basis.
- We are going to mock up the creation of an iPhone and a Blackberry app as a lot of young professionals have smartphones such as these and then they can use this technology on the go without having anything extra on them.
- We will create a Facebook Page for our promotion as well. We find that this would be effective because a lot of young people go onto facebook on a regular basis so will notice this. As one person 'likes' the page on Facebook they could invite all of there friends. If each of those then invited all of their friends then that would be 100,000s of people in a very short amount of time providing an optimum exposure.

Introduction to my New Campaign Project
As part of my GCSE Media Studies Double Award we have to create a campaign to promote a Healthy Lifestyle amongst people from developed countries, and in particular the UK.
The brief specified that this campaign was to be created on behalf of 'OneStep21'. The campaign can be as widespread as we desire and is specified as "your own region, area or community" and that it is our own "choice of target audience".
We have to create our own promotional products across a variety of media platforms. We have to choose two types of media from the following list:
